Sampoerna Marching Band (1989-1992)

Performed by 234 factory workers including women cigarette rollers,
Sampoerna Marching Band represented Indonesia in the 1990 and 1991
Tournaments of Roses in Pasadena, California, USA. The Garuda Float
with the theme “Unity in Diversity” won the 1st Prize for Non-American
Participants (The International Trophy) in 1990.
